For those of you that have been under a rock since last weekend, our students obviously performed AMAZINGLY last weekend and were awarded with Bandapalooza Overall Grand Champion for the second year in a row! Well deserved for all the hard work they are putting in, but the competitions only get more tough for the rest of the season!

Sorry this email is a little late in the week, but we wanted to make sure we had the correct schedule for the weekend!

Also, tonight is our Band Club meeting @ 6p. Please join us as you come pick up your kids from rehearsals at 6p, it will only be 30 minutes max.


MONDAY: Sectionals – 3p-5p

TUESDAY: Rehearsal – 3p-6p; Band Club Meeting – 6p

THURSDAY: Sectionals – 3p-6p

FRIDAY: Away football game @ Centennial

SATURDAY: Rehearsals – 8a; MCI, leave Summit @ 11:10AM

FRIDAY, 10/12

Away game @ Centennial High School

4:30p – Eat dinner, change into uniform (no shakos, pep band only)

5:15p – Rehearse Stand tunes in band room

5:45p – Load horns and drums

6p – Depart

6:30p – Arrive, unload, go to stands

7p – Game starts

9:30p – After game, load up, depart

10:15p – Return, unload, clean up, dismiss

SATURDAY, 10/13Music City Invitational (MCI)

8a – Rehearsal

9:40a – Load trucks, bring a snack to eat, then change into bibbers

11:10a – Depart

12:10p – Arrive, unload, stretch

1:40p – Warm up

2:30p – Prelim performance

2:45p – Return to trucks, put away equipment, eat meal

3:55p – Prelim awards & announcement of Finalist

If we make finals, the schedule for the rest of the evening will be determined by our performance draw (finalist bands draw for performance order). If we do not make finals, we will finish loading up and return home.

6p – Final begin

9p – Final awards

9:30p – Load trucks

10p – Depart

11p – Return, unload, clean up, and dismiss

PARENT MEETING – Tuesday, October 9, 6:30p

Please join us to hear everything that’s going on within the band program. We will be drawing to give away two $50 credits to student account. Must be present to win.


Show shirts are available now for purchase in the Charms store. Short sleeve $10 and Long sleeve $15, both in orange with blue and white ink. Deadline is this Friday, 10/12. Get your orders in now!


We have a couple of opportunities for any of you who would like to get more involved. We are looking for a volunteer coordinator and someone to assist with fundraising. We will definitely walk alongside you throughout the season, but need these positions filled. Please reach out to one of the board members if you are interested or have any questions. Reaching out does not mean you are volunteering.


The first $150 payment was due August 1. The second $150 payment was due on September 1. Please check your balances in CHARMS and get those payments in so we do not have to CANCEL any competitions this season.
