WOTS 2020 is in the books and it was a great success!

This event is a team effort and we appreciate everyone who came out to help set up, donated items for concessions or was there to volunteer at all on Saturday. A special shout out to our Lead Volunteers – Pam Eicher, Shannon Howard, Ellen Mangold, Erin Mann, Hope Brown, Julie Duel, Mike Curtis and Danelle Warburton.  There was positive feedback all around from the teams who participated, our students & volunteers went above and beyond to make the day go smoothly, for everyone to feel welcome and teams are already looking forward to next year!!

  • Tuesday, February 4th Basketball Pep Band

  • Tuesday, February 11th – Monthly Band Parent Meeting in the Band Room

Valentine’s Dinner & Dance

Most students who worked WOTS were given an envelope when they checked out.  Inside are 2 tickets to the Valentine’s event and a letter explaining what to do.  We are asking that each band member make an attempt to sell 1 pair of tickets for $50.  Parents can purchase the tickets if they want to attend or they can be sold to family members, friends or neighbors.

*If they sell the tickets please return an envelope marked with their name and Valentine’s Dance on it, with the cash or check made payable to “SHS Band Club” by Wednesday, February 12th.  Drop it in the black box in the band room.

*If they can’t sell the tickets, they can simply drop them in the black box in the band room before 2/12 please.

*IF students sell the pair of tickets for $50, $20 of that will be applied towards band fees.  If they are paid in full this year, it can go towards next year.

*We also need 18 students and several parent volunteers to sign up in Charms to work the event.  Students who work will get $20 applied to band fees as well.

*If your child did not get a packet and would like some to sell, please contact Laurie Kamunen at 615-642-7481 or

*Please continue to share the event info on your personal social media pages to promote the event.  We want a sell-out crowd please!

Valentine’s Dinner & Dance on Friday, February 14th from 6:30-9:30pm.  The event will take place in building C at the Thompson’s Station Church. Dinner is being catered by Boom Bozz and consists of Pasta, Salad, Bread, Drinks and Dessert.  Entertainment features local musicians “5 Points Swing” playing many romantic favorites along with swing classics. A long stem rose will be given to every lady in attendance and we will be holding a Silent Auction.  Please help us sell tickets – tell friends & family

  • Kelly Clark is organizing the Silent Auction for the event.  We would like to see items donated for the Auction that are “couple” related such as: Weekend getaways, couple’s massages, dinner out, entertainment packages, etc.  If you can help us attain some of these donations, please contact Kelly.

  • Each Section will be responsible for putting together a “Valentine’s” themed basket for the Auction.  Please be watching for details from your Section Moms regarding items they need donated.

  • If you would be interested in working this event or helping with the decorating earlier that day, please contact

  • We will have students sign up to work as “waiters” for each table.  We will notify you when the sign ups are available on Charms.
