Valentine’s Dinner & Dance
Most students who worked WOTS were given an envelope when they checked out. Inside are 2 tickets to the Valentine’s event and a letter explaining what to do. We are asking that each band member make an attempt to sell 1 pair of tickets for $50. Parents can purchase the tickets if they want to attend or they can be sold to family members, friends or neighbors.
*If they sell the tickets please return an envelope marked with their name and Valentine’s Dance on it, with the cash or check made payable to “SHS Band Club” by Wednesday, February 12th. Drop it in the black box in the band room.
*If they can’t sell the tickets, they can simply drop them in the black box in the band room before 2/12 please.
*IF students sell the pair of tickets for $50, $20 of that will be applied towards band fees. If they are paid in full this year, it can go towards next year.
*We also need 18 students and several parent volunteers to sign up in Charms to work the event. Students who work will get $20 applied to band fees as well.
*If your child did not get a packet and would like some to sell, please contact Laurie Kamunen at 615-642-7481 or spartanbandfundraising@gmail.com
*Please continue to share the event info on your personal social media pages to promote the event. We want a sell-out crowd please!

As we said near the close of the first semester, please remember that just because the official competitions & football season are over, that does not mean that Band is over. We still have concerts, basketball games, Winter Guard & Winter Drum Line competitions to look forward to. There are lots of fundraisers coming up throughout the remainder of the school year, like the Valentines Dinner and Dance, Winter on the Summit (WOTS) & Spring on the Summit (SOTS). These fundraising events help us feed the general fund so that we can continue to make purchases of new instruments and equipment to help us be bigger and better in the future. If you still have an outstanding balance in Charms, please settle that up as soon as possible or contact Tami Bell at spartanbandtreasurer@gmail.com to make arrangements.
