THU 11/10 = Community Send off Performance – 6 PM
The Summit Marching Spartans are heading to GRAND NATIONALS (America’s premier national marching band event!) on November 11 and are asking the community to help send them off in a BIG way!
Join the band on Thursday, November 10th at 6:00pm for their final rehearsal at Summit’s football stadium before heading to Indianapolis the next day.
This last competition will be the capstone to the band’s most successful season ever – Grand Champions at Bands at the Rock and Forrest Tournament of Bands along with a 3rd place finish at Contest of Champions!
Let’s fill the stands for their final run through at home before taking a national stage!

2022-2023 Summit Marching Spartans Fall Season Update
10/29/2022 – 59th Annual Contest of Champions
Optical Delusions = Historical Realities
The Summit Marching Spartans continued their ascension in the ranks of bands in our region by earning their best finish in school history at the 59th Annual Contest of Champions.
For the second straight year, the Spartans made the CoC finals. With their Finals performance, they earned the Honorable Mention award by finishing 3rd overall with a score of 86.15. Two top notch performances back to back showcases the grit and determination of this group. Amazing job Spartans!!!
10/22/2022 – Forrest Tournament of Bands
A Clean Sweep Repeat!!
The Summit Marching Spartans repeated a feat they accomplished last year by being crowned Grand Champion and sweeping possible all awards at the Forrest Tournament of Bands in Chapel Hill. What a great performance and another amazing job by the Spartans!!!
Awards won included:

9/24/2022 – Stones River Championships
Spartans place 3rd with Solid Performance at Stones River
The marching season continued with a strong showing at the Stones River Championships at Siegel HS. The Marching Spartans were awarded 2nd place in the Large Division and the overall Honorable Mention 3rd place award by the slimmest of margins. They fell just 0.05 points behind the 2nd place overall placement. Great job Spartans!!
9/17/2022 – Bands at the Rock
Summit Marching Spartans Rocks Bands at the Rock
What an exciting kick off to the 2022 competition season as the Marching Spartans competitive debut of Optical Delusion swept through Bands at the Rock at Rockvale High School on Saturday 9/17. The band made a clean sweep of all awards available on the evening in their Class/Division. Awards taken home included:

SUN 11/6 = Neon Nights 5k Fundraiser
Come run the road to Grand Nationals with us at the Neon Nights 5k on Sunday night November 6th. Pre-registered pickup will begin at 5pm. Walk-up registration on the day of the race (not guaranteed a shirt) will be from 5-6pm. Race will begin at 6pm. Sign up to be a part of the race to Grand Nationals here.
